About Us

St Mary’s parish has taken on the ownership of the former Priory Club in Leyland in order to turn it into a parish and community resource housing the Churches Together in Leyland food bank and furniture scheme.

In order to make the new centre self-funding and with the aspiration of establishing cost effective function room hire Leyland people deserve.

The new community centre has been undergoing a revamp and the concert room, lounge and the kitchen have been redecorated and renovated and now provides the kind of function room hire Leyland are looking for.

As well as a facelift to public “rooms” for meeting room hire, a dedicated band of volunteers has cleared the ‘cellar’ and will be moving the furniture scheme into that area.

The Food Bank has moved to the old sports room.

The area surrounding the building has also been cleared.

In order to realise the venue hire potential of the centre we need a lot of resources which all takes money.

We’re looking for anyone skilled in plumbing, decorating, kitchen construction, flooring etc that could either give us advice, labour or who can get things more or less at cost – parishioners, relatives or friends.
