Following the award by Ofcom in December 2017 of an FM community radio licence, we went on air in the above areas on 1 April 2019.
Weekdays we start at 7 am with 30 minutes of 70s at 7. You can hear Breakfast between 7.30 and 9.00. The Mid-Morning Music Mix then takes over with songs from the 80s, 90s, 00s and Now. In the afternoon, between 1 and 3 pm, it’s our vintage music and chat show, Magic Moments. Leyland Drivetime takes you through the afternoon from 3 till 6 pm. Specialist music shows will feature after 7 some evenings and at the weekend.

We’re volunteer-run and operate on a non-profit basis. With few exceptions, all our presenters are local and know the area well.
We provide radio training opportunities.
Volunteers can participate in management and operation of the radio service.
We play music from the past ten decades.
We broaden your choice in radio. We’re accountable to the community.
And best of all, we’re from Leyland, for Leyland!
How Can I Get Involved?
There are all sorts of opportunities.
Click this link and send us a quick email to leylandcommunityradio@gmail.com.
We’ll get back to you to have a chat about how you could fit in. You could be providing backroom tech support, managing the music library, reporting on local events, setting up an outside broadcast, presenting a feature or even preparing to host a programme.
